She might be considered a dusky diva in reel life but Chitrangda Singh is set to don a new avatar in real life - lecturer. The story goes: during the filming of the climax of debutant director Rohit Dhawan's Desi Boyz, Chitrangda had a great time discussing the nuances of acting with veteran actor Anupam Kher.
The Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2005) actor spent almost three days during the filming of climax with Kher, who coincidentally owns a famous acting school. As per sources, she learnt and discussed useful inputs from Kher on acting. Impressed by Chitrangda, Kher promptly invited her to visit his acting school and give a few classes on acting besides conducting some acting workshops.
When contacted, Chitrangda said: "I'm very honoured and touched by Anupam Kher's invitation to teach at his acting school especially since it comes from a veteran actor who could surely teach me a thing or two. It has been an enriching experience working with him in Desi Boyz and I look forward to visiting his school soon." For the uninitiated, Chitrangda stars in Desi Boyz, which will also see actors Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone among others. The film has been majorly shot in London. For the film, Chitrangda will also be seen in a glamourous dance number.
Of late, Chitrangda has been in the news after Jacqueline Fernandez suddenly replaced her in the mutant's role in Krissh 3. Although filmmaker Rakesh Roshan and Chitrangda cite a problem of dates, reports suggest there's more than what meets the eye. "I can only say there were date issues... I tried to sort it out. But couldn't manage," Chitrangda stated, while Roshan said, "Chitrangda tried her best to give us dates in December-January. But I think she has some family commitments and she couldn't accommodate us. So I had to opt for another actor."
